Location & Directions

The Hotel Stein is located on Giselakai, right on the Salzach River and at the junction between the historic Old Town and the Andräviertel district. There are loading and unloading zones right in front of the hotel for your convenience when loading and unloading your luggage.

  • Arriving by car: The hotel has its own parking spaces at Imbergstraße 29; reservations are required, and the cost is 24 € per day. Alternatively, there are several public parking garages nearby.
  • Directions from the main train station: approx. 5 km away
    You can take any bus heading toward the city center. Recommended stops are “Salzburg Makartplatz” and “Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz.” From there, it’s about a 5–10-minute walk to the hotel.
  • Travel by plane:
    Travel from the airport to the city by bus: From Salzburg Airport, take trolleybus line 10 toward “Sam” to the “Salzburg Rathaus” stop, then walk 3 minutes to the hotel across the Staatsbrücke. Travel time: approx. 20 min., cost: €3
